Valve Island range now extended

Parker Pneumatic has extended its range of Valvetronic valve island mod-ules with the introduction of two new products: the Solstar micro solenoid valves with 4 mm connection and flows of either 33 Nl/min or 50 Nl/min; and the PVLC10 with G1/4 or (8 mm) connection and with a flow of 1800 Nl/min.

   FLEXIBILITY IS KEY TO PNEUMATICALLY OPERATED CARRIER    USED ON NEW AMERICAN MOTORCYCLE ASSEMBLY LINE

While materials handling is an essential part of moving finished goods, it is often a key part of the manufacturing process as well. A good example of this is the assembly of the new Victory motorcycle by Polaris Industries Inc. at its plant in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

The 1999 Victory V92C was the first significant motorcycle widely distributed by a new American motorcycle manufacturer in 60 years. Polaris is already recognised as a world leader in snowmobile, all-terrain vehicle and personal watercraft production.

PNEUMATIC CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR STATE-OF-THE-ART BEAM TRAWLER

Parker Sempress Pneumatic control systems and compo-nents have been specified for three critical operational areas on the new Branding IV - a state-of-the art beam trawler which has recently completed sea trials in The Netherlands. The 42.35 metre Branding IV was built at Stellandam by Maaskant Shipyards for Jac Betsema & Zoon of Oudeschild. Like all big Dutch beamers, the vessel features a closed stern which offers more space, less noise and improved crew safety, which is further enhanced by the innovative design of the superstructure.

PNEUMATIC AUTO RESET RAISE AND LOWER VALVE ENSURES SAFE, RELIABLE TRAILER HEIGHT OPERATION

Parker Pneumatic and Meritor HVS Limited, suppliers of brake and suspension systems to heavy goods vehicle and trailer manufacturers, have jointly developed a new dock height control system for vehicle trailers utilising air suspension - mark-eted as the Meritor Levelride II.

The new Levelride II simplifies loading and unloading by allowing trailer deck height to be adjusted manually to the height of the loading bay, enabling easy access for handling equipment.
